You maybe wondering why a branding and advertising site is showing music, well this is internet marketing at its best. The people that handled Lily’s marketing and PR really knew what they were doing.. and in the past week I just stumbled onto her music through Pandora and I soon found all of her leaked videos and epk’s etc. for this British pop star that will soon be a mega star. Her lyrics are funny as hell.. in fact if I could break her lyrics down to one sentence it would be: ” Half who gives a fuck, half light hearted and intelligently straightforward.” She pretty much takes a stab at hypocrisy and despite that its all poppy and even a bit loopy I think it’s catchy and clever.
Oh and if this were ever true it is now, I heard this week that Youtube is basically changing the game for making musicians popular. Well look at this particular case I hear a new song on Pandora and post this new singers youtube videos in my blog post in all of about 5 minutes. You do the math but if someone’s good theirs so much less time before they become immediately popular. In the extreme cases take a look at the Briton’s Got Talent show with their recent star singer who was unknown prior.
