Pepsi Throwback

Alright much has been talked about with their branding fiasco last January and December. But this new ad is playful and it enters into this debacle by well going back to previous brands for the summer. In fact the Pepsi Mark goes back to a revised 1940s+1950s identity design that I have personally never seen and its kind of an amusing situation, the mark itself reminds me of the early 1900s, but their throwing back with their art direction to the 1960s. Overall the TV spot works wonderfully, but focusing on the brand alone it strategically it leaves me with a lot of questions about where Pepsi goes from here. What do you think?
