This is one of the coolest posts I’ve got to put on this blog yet. A friend and fellow alum from the Syracuse University Communications Design program worked on the team that created an awesome new brand for Avid Technology. It is a modern new mark and it comes off conceptual, versatile, simple and memorable.? Why all this praise well the brand is foremost the center of the universe in the video technology field, this company pioneered a large variety of technologies that assisted in movie making and computer graphics. So the symbols for play, up, down, fast forward are perfect for that reason, it’s not like this idea hasn’t been used before in different ways but because it is Avid, it simply works.? Avid technology is also a local brand in Massachusetts and it’s exciting to see that their with the times. I’d love to share The Brand Union’s new creative that I first saw over at Brand New: Under Consideration, and to Sam & Team job well done that is simply a great mark.
The redesign was done by Wally Krantz (Executive Creative Director), Dennis Thomas (Design Director), and Sam Becker (Senior Designer) at The Brand Union.
