Two great spots from Anonymous. These spots are well put together but are over the top in scale and imagination. What do you think?

Not Even Elephants Can Knock Over Anonymous Content’s Latest Effort

What do a stampeding elephant, a sumo wrestler, and a wrecking ball have in common? None of them can knock over Western & Southern Financial Group’s even-keeled spokesperson in the latest creative spots from Anonymous Content Director Christian Bevilacqua.

Bevilacqua worked via Northlich, Cincinnati to create Strength and its companion spot, Stability, to symbolically represent the insurance giant’s core characteristics. In the first spot, a man talks up Western & Southern’s elevated stature in the global industry as the aforementioned obstacles pummel him from all sides – only to ricochet off. Stability features a similarly poised and confident woman, standing atop a pair of stilts as a team of white-coated operatives with a giant fan, a lasso-wielding cowboy on horseback, and a villainous man arming a tennis ball-shooting machine all try to dislodge her – with no luck.

Senator Franken says it right. What Verizon and Google are trying to do and what Comcast and NBC are trying to do are disturbing. Overnight things will change on how the web works unless America stands up against mega corporations controlling the flow of information. You'll see companies pay for faster load times, the smaller innovators get crushed by costs, and whatever is left over will trickle down to the consumer. Imagine paying for the cost of bandwidth to watch a movie etc. Instead of forcing innovation we'll be bogging it down with new fees, that likely the government will be able to tax. What are your thoughts? And on a side note, is it not ironic that it takes a comedian turned politician to point out and stand up to one of the most serious threats to the 1st amendment?
