Exceptional art direction and writing. These print ads are really quite wonderful to see. The work is filled with a great mixture of still photography, typography, photo shoots and illustrative composite work. View all of their spots on Arnold’s homepage link.
A pretty decent spot by New Balance Running shoes, magical and inspiring. Wasn’t too much of a fan of the music accompanyment in the spot though.
Amazing motion illustrations and inspiring musical accompaniment to celebrate Dr. Marten’s turning 50 .
Apple, seriously that is one stunning TV spot. Seriously you make me sick at how good your creative and products are. But this ad is easily one of my favorites and most memorable spots I have seen this year.
Concept is witty at least, what do you think?
This illustrator is amazing. Tuomas is from Finland he’s a highly skilled and imaginative illustrator. The Photoshop Illustrations & work he does are absolutely awesome.
Let’s start off with the positive: I did enjoy the lock-up they provided from multiple publications mast head logo-types. It is a bit fun and funky. Now the critique: I am not copy writer but this seems like possibly one of the most forced executions I have seen in a long while. Many elements were probably forced in so to speak and it probably gave the AD and CD and CW a headache. At least it comes off that way. Also the tone was self praising, and I think it was a missed opportunity to praise magazines by celebrating their impact. Does a website have the same journalistic impact that a publication has? I can not help but think of that Rolling Stone article that forced a general out of job kind of impact.
This ad may help sell a dedicated courier service… But I don’t think it will help their international travel industry lol.
A fantastic read for the upcoming steamy summer days. This fairly new author caught my attention with the subject and the writing style, as I found myself quickly in his shoes following the steps of Percy Fawcett. The Lost City of Z is the first book I read by the author David Grann, who is a staff writer at The New Yorker Magazine.
Pretty cute ad placement and the creative is fair. Cool stuff.
